Uppsala
Since we had yet to do much travelling, I rounded up some people and hitched a train about 50 Km N of Stockholm to Uppsala. It is a pretty old city, with mostly students in it but it also has some cool stuff to see.

Sascha, contemplating life and admiring the Swedish countryside.......
Outside of the train station in Uppsala. The proper travelling recipe: 3 parts dutch, 4 parts German, 2 parts Venezuelan, 2 parts Finnish and of course, one very important part Canadian!
A small river that runs through the middle of Uppsala. Thought it was a nice shot.......
The ducks are quite friendly in Uppsala. They will eat right out of your hand!!!
The famous Cathedral. This is the largest Cathedral in all of the Scandanavian countries. It is big and beautiful. I have never seen anything like this before in my life..........

Weird looking gargoyles on the outside of it though.........hmmmmmmmmmmm
Inside: The main hall leading up to several other rooms..........
The final resting place of a former Swedish King and Queen. They actually let you walk in and around it; so cool.....
There was beautiful stained glass in the Cathedral..........obviously
View from behind the altar..........
On a look out tower from a castle in Uppsala. Nice cannon buddy.........
Doin my Napoleon thing............that is the Cathedral in the background. I dont know why they have the cannons pointed at it????
Next, we went to an ancient Viking burial ground that dates back to the 6th century. It has a whole bunch of mounds that are said to have 3 famous Viking Kings buried inside of them. A really cool place to go and visit.........
Just some more shots of the sunset around the burial grounds area................
