Svergie Vs. Suomi in LG Hockey Games
A little while ago, I bought a ticket to go & check out an international game between Sweden and Finland. It was pretty cool to see the game and everything, but the actual hockey part wasnt that exciting. Sweden won 1-0 though!!!

The famous Globen Arena in Stockholm........

Uppsala
Since we had yet to do much travelling, I rounded up some people and hitched a train about 50 Km N of Stockholm to Uppsala. It is a pretty old city, with mostly students in it but it also has some cool stuff to see.

Sascha, contemplating life and admiring the Swedish countryside.......

The Uppsala group......

Outside of the train station in Uppsala. The proper travelling recipe: 3 parts dutch, 4 parts German, 2 parts Venezuelan, 2 parts Finnish and of course, one very important part Canadian!

A small river that runs through the middle of Uppsala. Thought it was a nice shot.......

The ducks are quite friendly in Uppsala. They will eat right out of your hand!!!

The famous Cathedral. This is the largest Cathedral in all of the Scandanavian countries. It is big and beautiful. I have never seen anything like this before in my life..........

Weird looking gargoyles on the outside of it though.........hmmmmmmmmmmm

Inside: The main hall leading up to several other rooms..........

The final resting place of a former Swedish King and Queen. They actually let you walk in and around it; so cool.....

Me, standing at the altar

There was beautiful stained glass in the Cathedral..........obviously

View from behind the altar..........

On a look out tower from a castle in Uppsala. Nice cannon buddy.........

Doin my Napoleon thing............that is the Cathedral in the background. I dont know why they have the cannons pointed at it????

Next, we went to an ancient Viking burial ground that dates back to the 6th century. It has a whole bunch of mounds that are said to have 3 famous Viking Kings buried inside of them. A really cool place to go and visit.........

Just some more shots of the sunset around the burial grounds area................

German Culture Night
We decided to spend one night a week teaching eachother things about our culture's. The first; a German dinner. Sascha bought some sausage, sauerkraut and potatoes and we cooked up a storm. Really, this whole thing started because we were hungry and it is a lot more fun to cook with other people.

The chefs!

My nice German friends. And one lovely lady from the Netherlands (I didnt forget about you Adrienne!)

This may not look like much to you, but to me, this if gour-friggin-met right about now!

Debaser
This is a pretty cool concert hall. It cost me about $35 to see a really........well, metro sexual Swedish/American folk singer play. Lets just say the best part was actually going there. The pics didnt turn out all that well either, but I may as well show one of them.

Random Photos
There is no rhyme or reason to any of these photos........hence the name!
Get your mind out of the gutter! Slut = clearance & rea = sale

mmmmmmm.......Pancake lasgna. We all went to a rez party in Kungshamra and some Irish girls made a huge lasgana with layers of pancakes, ice cream and strawberry jam for everyone. Eat your heart out Prince Alrberts!!

Gulla Villan. One of the many student houses here on campus. Just so happens that they have a karaoke bar on Wednesday nights!!!

We decided to check it out.......just to see what it was like ya know.....

This is the univerisity subway station. Note how CLEAN!!!!!!!!!

Myself and Craig heading down the long escalators to the subway station

Yet another corridor party with all of my good friends. We had a lot of fun that night. Especially Sascha and I........as you can see

Even the Australian doesnt know what to do with us........

A cool shot of me having a Guiness at an Irish Pub in Downtown Stockholm. This is the only Irish Pub that I have been to that plays Bon Jovie and Bryan Adams?!?!?!

Steffen and I rockin it @ a rock club in Stockholm. Weird looking people but great music. By far one of the top 3 most fun nights I have had here yet.
